Our Story

As one door closes another opens…

A group of Artists, who rented a space in an old railway station, were forced to rethink their plans when they discovered the railway company didn’t want to renew their lease. This wasn’t the end however, it was just the beginning of a new vision that became

They wanted to create a space not just for themselves but for the local community. A space where members could leave behind their everyday lives and share some creative fun together. A space that could be used for individuals who wanted to work on their own projects in the company of others. Also for others seeking inspiration by attending workshops, experimenting and sharing ideas. They approached Mayors of local communes and found suitable premises in the old Gemeng building in Canach.

They set about transforming some rooms into a bright space and organising materials that could be used by participants. Along the way the original members were joined by a few others that form the core group that shares the responsibility to run the organisation.
